However I have not been able to figure out how to make this animation play… well at all really, I can’t get it to play while holding shift, i cant get it to play while holding shift and moving, it just doesn’t work. I’ve checked the Roblox Creator API and couldn’t figure it out.

How to stop character running animation? - Scripting Support ... - Roblox

This is actually a very good question. My only thought is before anchoring the HumanoidRootPart, set the walk speed to 0, and add a very small delay, then anchor. This should stop the character from continuing to walk, giving time for the animation to stop. Let me know how this works.

Sadly, changing animation ID’s to swap between walking - running animations is impossible and requires hacky workarounds (like you provided). You have to load a custom animation into the humanoid and play it whenever the player starts running to do it properly.
