At $69.95 per line they're a bargain in today's fly line world. As to the line handling bigger dry flies: leader length and taper are more likely to determine how the fly turns over on a river 25' wide than any modern fly line designed for a 3 weight.

Even more important than the fly pattern is the intent it was tied with. Bull trout prefer a fly that was tied in hopes of encountering a different species. Don't even think about tying flies for bull trout or targeting them. They aren't interested if you're pursuing them.
